I recently came across an article in social website, Cricket fans all over the country are cheering for a cricketer who made a fifty in a T20. I thought making 50s in a T20 is not a great deal. On the Irony, the cricketer debuted in T20 Cricket 16 yrs back.
It’s funny to hear and I felt people are mad to cheer for a person who took 16 years to make a 50 in T20 Cricket. The person under discussion is Shri Dinesh Kartik, the resurging cricketer who came back to the Indian Cricket Team at an age when most cricketers retire.
Dinesh Kartik, became the oldest cricketer to score a fifty in International cricket.
I asked many cricket fans, who is the most Indian popular cricketer in 2022. Many have named Dinesh Kartik as one of the most popular cricketers in the Country.
But Why ?
Presently, Dinesh Kartik is in one of the best form of his life. He has single handedly won many games for RCB in the recently concluded IPL. He brought Indian Cricket team back into winning ways in the recent T20 series against South Africa
Dinesh Kartik has the highest viewed cricket video on Youtube in his name. The top 2 most viewed cricket videos on Youtube feature him. It is His heroics in Nidadas Trophy, 2018. There is a gossip, Whenever Sri Lankan Cricket Team needs money, they ask you tube to feature Dinesh kartik heroics in peoples’ youtube feed. Such immense is the gravity of his knock. Cricket fans in India and Srilanka both love this video a lot.
Dinesh Kartik in the year 2018, snatched victory from the claws of defeat when he hammered Bangladesh Bowlers by scoring the required winning runs of 34 in 2 overs. He was adjudged as the Man of the match in his entertaining knock of 23 in 8 balls.
And Cricket God, Sachin Tendulkar Claimed in his twitter handle, Few can pick up the line and length quicker than DK.

But is every thing about him successful ?
No, it is not.
But Behind few Successful days, there may be lot of unsuccessful Years.
Dinesh Kartik debuted in Indian Cricket team in the Year 2004 and has been mostly in and out of the team on various occasions. He was also adjudged Man of the Match in the first T20 ever played by India in 2006.
But what went wrong with this man ?
Many claim, the Tsunami called Dhoni over shadowed Dinesh Kartik.
But its partially true.
Dinesh Kartik became the second choice for the post of wicket keeper in the Indian Cricket Team behind the first choice, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. So, Kartik was always keeping himself ready and performed well, whenever Indian team gave him a chance. The chance is whenever, Dhoni is asked to rest, Dinesh gets a chance.
But this didn’t continue for a long time, Form of Dinesh Kartik began to drop in the Indian Cricket team and in the Tamil Nadu cricket team.
He was loosing matches,
He was loosing Opportunities
He was loosing Chances
He was loosing the passion to play
This was due to his personal problems.
Dinesh Kartik had a childhood friend Vanjara. Parents of both were close friends. Both the guy and girl grew together, grew fond of together. After professing love both tied the knot in 2007.
Imagine, you are getting a chance to marry your childhood sweet, you would be on cloud nine. So was, Dinesh Kartik.
But this was temporary, Vanjara found love in fellow cricketer of Dinesh. Murali Vijay, the Cricketer and Vanjara began to have an affair and Dinesh Kartik was unaware of the things behind him.

Dinesh Kartik was heartbroken and became devastated. He simply divorced his wife, who later married Murali Vijay.
Dinesh Kartik lost his wife to Murali Vijay, lost his captaincy to Murali Vijay and dinesh kartik lost his interest in the sport.
He was highly depressed and had suicidal tendencies. He stopped venturing outside.
He was in the lowest phase of his life.
But Dinesh wanted to change himself, may be his intentions were honest.
Some good things began to happen in his life. His gym coach brough him out of this phase and took special interest in his fitness and training.
Fellow sportswoman Dipika Pallikal who also frequented the same gym became supportive. They both began to go fond of each other.
Dinesh Kartik began to gain touch and further support from Abhisekh Nayyar who began to guide him to make a comeback to Cricket. Dinesh worked hard on himself
He found a new rejuvenated life.
His heroics are now known to all, Lets wish he gives many more memories to all Cricket fans and win many accolades to our Country.
